Want to Volunteer at Housing Advice? - 04/07/2011

Role title: Marketing and Social Media Internship
Based: Tameside Housing Advice Centre,
Duration: 6 months
Commitment: 8 to 12 days per month
Working Pattern: Flexible
Working Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday
working from home may be possible
Expenses: All reasonable expenses covered
Support: Personal mentor & training plan

We are committed to providing a full range of career development opportunities for people of all abilities and stages in their life. Volunteering is key to that commitment and we recognise its value to the organization and the individual.

This new internship which is the forerunner for a larger programme of volunteering is a genuine opportunity to develop your skills in marketing and social media. Equally, we hope your passion in this area will bring a modern vision to New Charter into how to maximize new methods of marketing.

To assist Housing Advice reach new audiences and promote its services to the community and partner agencies by tapping into a strong brand via the internet and social media campaigns.

We already have a website that requires a more interactive edge and e-newsletter, but social media is a new field for Housing Advice and New Charter. This is a chance to bring your knowledge to us and drive forward a modern marketing campaign.

All we ask is that you are committed to modern marketing techniques, whether you have developed that in a personal, community or business context. You may be a post or under graduate in the field or just want to take your personal interest and expertise into a work environment, either way this is a genuine first step into a career in marketing.

It is not essential but anyone who has experienced homelessness, being a New Charter tenant will be looked on favourably.

Are you suffering from Anti-Social behaviour? - 01/10/2010

• If you own your home:
Report the problem direct to the Anti-Social Behaviour Team on 0161 342 8355
• If you rent your home from New Charter Housing or other Housing Association:
Report the problem to your housing officer. They will work with the Anti-Social Behaviour Team to resolve the problem
• If you rent your home from a private landlord or agency:
Report your problem to your landlord or direct to the Anti-Social Behaviour Team
• In an immediate emergency call 999
